How it Works

The “F” indicates that this formula is for females. In a woman's body, natural production of DHEA declines after about age 25, leading many experts to believe that DHEA plays a role in slowing the aging process. DHEA, a naturally occurring steroid nutrient produced in the adrenal (cortex) gland, is converted to important and essential hormones in the body, ensuring good health. DHEA-F was developed with beneficial herbs to provide daily benefits for women pursuing a healthier lifestyle.

Why Women's DHEA-F?

Great products begin with good-for-you ingredients. And this unique blend is loaded with ethically sourced, non-GMO botanicals. One sounds mythical, but its harvest story is very real! Our false unicorn root grows in the wet meadows and woods of the eastern United States. Our harvesters include families that join in the harvest and hand-dig the roots. It can take as many as 100 roots to create a single pound of raw material! These folks rely on our partnership for their livelihood, and we rely on their skill in order to provide you with the finest products on earth.

The story behind Women's DHEA-F

Although key cells in the brain make DHEA, the adrenal glands manufacture the majority of the body’s DHEA. It was first isolated in 1954.

Wild yam has been used for centuries by Native Americans and early settlers for a variety of issues. These include women’s health, targeted gut support and gastrointestinal issues, energy and joint health. It is perhaps best-known today for supporting the health of mature women.

False unicorn grows in the eastern half of North America. Native Americans used this plant for women’s health, including menstruation and occasional nausea. As a result, European doctors later recommended it to help modulate menstruation.

Native to the Mediterranean region and Asia, chaste berries have been used for more than 2,000 years. This plant was named for a belief that the berry could help lower the libido. The berries were used in Ancient Rome for that very purpose. During the Middle Ages, another nickname was applied: monk’s pepper.
